Giuseppe Grasso, great-grandfather of the current owner Giulio, moved to Treiso in 1870, starting the business. In 1965 Ernesto Grasso, Giulio’s father, vinified separately for the first time the grapes from the Vallegrande area, destined to become one of the Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive of Barbaresco. This was repeated in 1988 for Asili and in 2004 for Pora. Thanks to stable and constant growth, the company can now boast vineyards in the crus of Asili, Pora, Vallegrande and Marcarini.
