Between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, a small cooperative winery was founded in Vezza d’Alba thanks to the parish priest Don Augusto Vigolungo. However, it was in 1959 that this cooperation gained strength with 23 winemakers who created the Cantina del Nebbiolo, a structure that led to the first harvest in 1960. Today, there are 180 members and 80% of their grapes are produced on the Roero hills and 20% in areas suited to quality viticulture, such as those of Barbaresco, Barolo, Dolcetto and Moscato.
