Owned by the Cigliuti family for four generations, the company was named “Fratelli Cigliuti” by the father and uncle of Renato Cigliuti, the current owner. Until 1964, the company sold grapes and bulk wine to a local clientele; however, Renato’s entry into the company led to a change of direction. Renato, in fact, always believed that the Langa vineyards could produce wines of greater quality and longevity if thinning was implemented: something that in those years was practiced by very few producers. He therefore began to bottle his production in 1964. His intuition brought the wines numerous awards and allowed the growth of the company in the management of which he is assisted by his two daughters Claudia and Silvia.
