Mille Vite is a family business run by Ann and Michael Dupont, of Danish origins. It bears the names of their daughters: Mille – the eldest and Liv, whose name translated into Italian means “life”. Having fallen in love with the Langhe, Ann and Michael purchased a house with 4 hectares of vineyards, starting to make Nebbiolo for family use. From the 2020 vintage the family decided to turn this into a business and in 2021 they moved to live in the Langhe. Michael already makes wine for their Barbaresco separately, always in another winery in the production area, until 2023 when a building was purchased in Neive and thus Ann and Michael’s new winery was born. Also in 2023 the three-year conversion period to organic production of the vineyards around the house ended and Mille Vite’s first Bio Nebbiolo was produced.
