The farm was inaugurated in 2005 in the Berchialla farmhouse in Barbaresco, a country estate owned by Olek Bondonio’s family since the early decades of the 19th century. The tradition of winemakers in this family has distant roots in time: General Bernardo Como, Olek’s ancestor, was one of the nine pioneers who in 1894 founded the first social winery with Domizio Cavazza and gave shape to Barbaresco as we know it today. The winery vinifies grapes from Barbaresco, Neive and Alba, but production remains rather limited.
