PARROCO DI NEIVE

Via Giulio Cesare 7/4, Neive (CN)
T. +39 339 732 6729

San Michele Winery was founded in 1973 in Neive, at the heart of the Barbaresco production area, thanks to an idea conceived by the parish priest, Don Giuseppe Cogno, together with three local winegrowers.
Today, the winery is managed by its four partners: Achille Cogno, brother of Don Giuseppe Cogno and the link between the former Parish Winery of Neive and today's San Michele Winery; Renato Lessio, a passionate winegrower and tireless cellar master; Alessandro Nebiolo, winegrower and cellar master; and Claudio Cavallo, oenologist and winegrower. Each partner independently manages a portion of the estate's six hectares (approximately 15 acres) of vineyards, located in the renowned Gallina, Cottà, Gaia, and Albesani crus. Since 2013, San Michele Winery has operated from a modern new winery, also located in the municipality of Neive, while maintaining its wine shop at the original address in the town's historic centre.
