The company was founded by Carlo Rocca, great-grandfather of the current owner, at the end of the 19th century, at a time when the production of grapes was entirely sold to the few large wineries that made wine. The company began making its own wine in the 1950s. The company has approximately 4.5 hectares located in the Ronchi cru, from which the company takes its name, cultivated with Nebbiolo for Barbaresco, and 1 hectare in the municipality of Guarene dedicated to the Arneis grape variety. The company, now managed by Giancarlo, pays close attention to safeguarding the integrity of the environment, avoiding the use of chemical herbicides in the cultivation of the vine.
