Located in the municipality of Castiglione Falletto, the Giovanni Sordo farm is a typical family-run business, managed today by Giorgio, son of Giovanni, who represents the third generation of the family. The estate was founded in 1912 by father Giuseppe, but the real turning point came with his son Giovanni who, together with his wife Maria, bought several Nebbiolo vineyards for Barolo.
Currently the company has a total area of 53 hectares of vineyards, distributed between the municipalities of Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba, Monforte d’Alba, Barolo, Novello, La Morra, Verduno, Grinzane Cavour and Vezza d’Alba. The vineyards are managed with the utmost respect for the environment according to the suggestions of modern agriculture.
