The farm was founded in 1930 by Domenico Taliano, from a family that had always been dedicated to work in the vineyards and in the fields. Initially the vineyards were all within the municipality of Montà, in 1974 the company grew Michele Taliano acquired a farmhouse of about 5 hectares of land in the Montersino cru in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio. In the mid-90s Alberto and Ezio, Michele’s sons, relaunched the company by modifying the grape production and wine refinement methods and by acquiring other lands in the Roero.
