Tenuta Baràc is located near the city of Alba, in the hamlet of San Rocco Seno d’Elvio. The estate is characterized by a splendid farmhouse from the early twentieth century, the subject of an important architectural restoration, which brought the original materials back to light.
In 2002 Wilma and Albino opened the Cascina Baràc farmhouse. In 2007 they began to directly manage the 12 hectares of vineyards owned until, in 2015, with the help of their children Alberto and Marta, they decided to vinify their first vintage in the new cellar. For the family, it was important from the very beginning to work in a sustainable way and, after obtaining the green experience certification, they decided to begin the conversion to organic in 2017. Today they are officially certified BIO, both in the vineyard and in the cellar from the 2020 vintage.
