The Carlo Giacosa winery, run by the Giacosa family for four generations, is located in Barbaresco. Donato Giacosa was the founder, then passed the reins to his son Carlo and his wife, while now it is the turn of his granddaughter Maria Grazia, the current owner. Luca, Maria Grazia's son, has also been working in the winery for a few years. The company has 5 hectares of vineyards, all in the municipality of Barbaresco. In respect of the environment, fertilization is limited to manure and pest control is conducted in an environmentally friendly manner.
