Founded in the 19th century, the Cantine dei Marchesi di Barolo are located in Barolo, in the building overlooking the Castello dei Marchesi Falletti. The historic cellars were acquired by Pietro Abbona at the end of the 19th century and remain in the family's ownership to this day. The Abbona family's choice is to be a faithful interpreter of the diversity of the places and native vines, rigorously preserving their typicality due to the composition of the soil in lower Piedmont. In 2016, Marchesi di Barolo acquired Cascina Bruciata, a small company located in the Rio Sordo in Barbaresco, active since 1880, whose full autonomy and identity is maintained.
