Until the end we hoped to be able to offer you the Espressione Barbaresco event in 2020 too, the two days dedicated to the preview of the new 2017 vintage of Barbaresco DOCG, in the same formula in which you discovered it last year.
However, the uncertainty of the period does not allow us to be able to work with serenity to offer you the best; we have therefore decided to postpone the event to 2021, certain that we will be able to satisfy our and your expectations for such a special and unique event and that we will be able to repeat the success of the first edition together.

After the success of the first edition, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco is pleased to announce the second edition of Espressione Barbaresco , which presents and introduces the 2017 vintage of this important Italian wine in a two-day official preview which will be held again in 'elegant
location of the Neive Castle.
Guest of this second event, which officially becomes " the voice of Barbaresco 2017" ,
is Walter Speller , one of the most important journalists in the world, wine writer and critic, as well as an authoritative expert on Italian wine and Jancis Robinson's contact in Italy.
A PRESTIGIOUS EVENT WHICH WILL PRESENT THE 2017 BARBARESCO DOCG IN ALL ITS SHADES, BUT WHICH ALSO POSES AS AN OPPORTUNITY
TO IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE MANY FACETS OF BARBARESCO,
IN ITS HISTORY, TRADITION, ESSENCE, LAND, ORIGIN, TO TELL AND TELL ABOUT ITSELF.
EVENT PROGRAM
The “Espressione – All the nuances of Barbaresco DOCG 2017” event will start in the early hours of the morning at the Piano Nobile of the Neive Castle , on an invitation-only day reserved exclusively for the Italian and international press. After the arrival and welcoming of the guests, the Preview will be inaugurated with a Masterclass held by Walter Speller , voice of the Barbaresco DOCG 2017 , who will talk about this vintage and introduce and taste 18 labels from as many wineries, divided into 3 tranches .
After a short and pleasant light lunch, the day will continue in the afternoon with a guided tour of the Neive Castle and its historic cellars and with a tour of the MGA which will take guests to "really enter the Territory", accompanied by Giancarlo Montaldo , journalist and wine expert. The day will end with an exclusive dinner in the beautiful location of the La Ciau del Tornavento restaurant where journalists and professionals will be able to meet the producers of the labels tasted during the morning Masterclass and taste their wines.
The event " Expression - All the nuances of Barbaresco DOCG 2017" will continue by moving to the rooms of the historic cellar of the Castello di Neive, with a catwalk that will bring together over 60 producers at the tasting tables who will bring different vintages of Barbaresco for tasting, in addition to the Barbaresco DOCG 2017 . This second day will start with a morning of tasting reserved exclusively for the Italian and foreign press, while in the afternoon the doors will open to all operators in the sector, buyers, professional sommeliers and wine lovers - upon reservation and purchase of the entrance ticket - who will have the opportunity to taste the best vintages of Barbaresco and the Barbaresco DOCG 2017 in direct contact with the Producer .
