A JOURNEY THROUGH THE BARBARESCO VINEYARDS

THE SEMINAR

“A journey through the Barbaresco vineyards” led the more than 100 participants to discover the Additional Geographical Mentions (MGA) of Barbaresco, which were the first included, back in 2007, in a specification.

The voices of the two speakers intertwined in a free-wheeling narration of the history, culture, pedoclimatic conditions, oenology and Filiera Corta products typical of the area, to arrive at the story of the vintage and the tastings carried out in the area.

Alessandro Masnaghetti shared his experience, passionately explaining (and telling several anecdotes) why one vineyard is different from another, why it is not simply a question of geography, and what are the different aspects to analyze to fully understand the uniqueness of each MGA.

The enthusiasm and skills of the two speakers made the afternoon much more than a “lesson” and the enrichment of the participants was not only cultural but also emotional.
