GIANCARLO MONTALDO IS
THE VOICE OF BARBARESCO 2021
In the context of the Gala Dinner on April 2nd celebrating 30 years of Barbaresco a Tavola, the Enoteca had the pleasure of naming the new Voice of Barbaresco , a powerful voice from the world of wine that is chosen every year to represent the latest vintage of Barbaresco.
The position of ambassador of the 2021 Barbaresco vintage was entrusted to Giancarlo Montaldo , a wine journalist born in Barbaresco in 1951, for many years President of the Enoteca and then Mayor of the Municipality itself.
As President of the Enoteca, in 1994 he created the Barbaresco a Tavola event, a new and innovative format aimed at connecting and enhancing the three main players in the world of Barbaresco DOCG, namely the producers, restaurateurs and end consumers.
Over the years it has proven to be a winning format and today represents one of the longest-running and iconic events in the Langhe.

As Voice of Barbaresco 2021 Montaldo will take part in the three evenings of Barbaresco at the table on Friday 10, 17 and 24 May, introducing each evening with the story of the new 2021 vintage.
