The American wine journalist and Northern Italy correspondent for Wine Enthusiast
will be the ambassador for the new vintage of Barbaresco DOCG.
Jeff Porter’s passion for wine began in his home state of Texas, where he took his first steps in the industry. After graduating, he became a wine consultant for several venues, including those of the Bastianich Group, and in 2019 he created a wine-focused docuseries titled “Sip Trip.”
His career has continued to grow, eventually earning him the prestigious role at Wine Enthusiast as the reviewer for wines from Northern Italy. Thanks to his unique perspective on wine and how it’s enjoyed, Porter stands out in the broad landscape of wine journalism for the fresh and approachable style of his reviews.
In recognition of his extensive experience and deep knowledge of the Piedmont wine world, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco is proud to award Jeff Porter the title of The Voice of Barbaresco 2022 — a new and innovative voice on the international wine scene.
