Antonio Galloni guided 40 participants through the tasting of 15 different Barbaresco DOCG 2020 wines, representing the whole territory.

 

As the “Voice of Barbaresco 2020” (an excellent journalist for an excellent year) Mr Galloni is not only a famous journalist, writer and connoisseur of Barbaresco, but also the founder of Vinous, one of the most important wine publications in the world. He is also one of the most authoritative voices in wine writing as well as a reference point for the international wine scene.

 

During the exclusive Masterclass, Mr Galloni gave a fascinating lecture and a complete analysis of the most recent Barbaresco vintage, defining every aspect of the wine.

Participants were able to simultaneously taste the 15 different bottles and thus distinguish the various nuances of the 2020 vintage.

 

Mr Galloni was ably assisted by Alessandro Masnaghetti, a great connoisseur of the subzone, who spoke about the influence of the territory on the wine's characteristics.

The producers of the selected wines were present and supplied detailed information about the techniques used in both the vineyard and the cellar.
