Espressione Barbaresco - All the nuances of Barbaresco DOCG was born in 2019 with the aim of presenting the new vintage of Barbaresco DOCG in front of the national and international press with a reserved Masterclass and to sector operators with an exclusive tasting table. Enoteca del Barbaresco has chosen to link each latest vintage on the market to the powerful voice of a leading figure in the world of wine.
Journalist Kerin O'Keefe was the first ambassador of Barbaresco in the world, covering the role of Voice of Barbaresco 2016, followed by Walter Speller and Ian d'Agata.
On the occasion of the new edition of Espressione Barbaresco, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco is pleased to entrust Mauro Carosso , president of AIS Piemonte, with the role of "The Voice of Barbaresco - 2019 vintage".
Mauro, in addition to holding the role of ambassador of Barbaresco DOCG 2019, was the speaker of a Masterclass held on the evening of December 5th in the splendid historic rooms of the Hotel Calissano in Alba. This lesson, addressed exclusively to restaurants and operators in the sector, was intended as a broad in-depth analysis of the different nuances of Barbaresco in relation to the different sub-areas. 14 different Barbarescos were then subjected to tasting: 2 from the San Rocco Seno d'Elvio area, 4 from Treiso, 4 from Neive and 4 from Barbaresco.
An interesting and complete overview to know and better understand the characteristics of a special vintage.
