Barbaresco DOCG and TrentoDOC, the marriage of interest returns!

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, the Enoteca del Barbaresco will repropose the marriage of the two great wines with a tasting inside its walls.

After 5 years, the Enoteca del Barbaresco is happy to propose a special tasting that seals a collaboration consolidated in the years between two realities only apparently distant, but that hide solid common traits.

On the one hand, Barbaresco, one of the most important DOCG in Italy, also called the Queen of the Langhe in tribute to its elegance and finesse, which comes from the native Nebbiolo vine in a territory of just 800 hectares; on the other hand, the TrentoDOC, the Mountain Bubbleberry, a great Classic Method that has its roots in a mountainous territory whose thermal excursions give this wine the aromatic richness that distinguishes it.

The similarities between Barbaresco DOCG and TrentoDOC

1. A NAME, A CITY

Two great names that identify not only with a precisely defined territory, but also with a city to which they are inextricably linked by their name.

2. MANUAL HARVESTING

In both regions of production, the harvest is carried out by hand to preserve the intact berries and all organoleptic characteristics.

3. THE PRODUCTION DISCIPLINARY

A strict disciplinary, that is a set of rules to be respected in order to use the name on the label, regulates the production of both wines.

4. ORGANIZATION OF PROMOTION

Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco and Istituto Trento DOC: two promoters, both born in the '80s, working on the territory to enhance the name of these wines

5. THE YEAR 2007, A MILESTONE

2007 is a pivotal date for both denominations. It is the year that marks the birth of the Additional Geographical Indications of Barbaresco DOCG, the first wine in Italy to have them legally recognized in the production specification, and the TrentoDOC territorial collective mark

METHOD OF TASTING

On Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 10.00 to 18.00, at the Enoteca Regionale of Barbaresco, TrentoDOC will be tasting alongside the Barbaresco DOCG.

- Individual tasting of each wine: € 3,00 per glass

- Tasting of a glass of TrentoDOC and a glass of Barbaresco DOCG: € 5,00
