Giancarlo Montaldo is The Voice of Barbaresco 2021

The former president of the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco and creator of the event Barbaresco a Tavola will be the ambassador of the new vintage of Barbaresco DOCG.
In the frame of the Gala Dinner on 2nd April, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Barbaresco a Tavola, the Enoteca had the pleasure of naming the new Voice of Barbaresco, a powerful voice in the world of wine that every year is chosen to represent the last vintage of Barbaresco.
The ambassadorship for the 2021 vintage of Barbaresco was entrusted to Giancarlo Montaldo, wine journalist born in Barbaresco in 1951, for many years President of the Enoteca and then Mayor of the Municipality itself.
As President of the Enoteca, in 1994 he created the event Barbaresco a Tavola, an unprecedented and innovative format aimed at connecting and enhancing the three main actors of the world of Barbaresco DOCG, producers, restaurateurs and final consumers. Over the years it has proved to be a winning format and today represents one of the most long-lived and iconic events of the Langhe.
As Voice of Barbaresco 2021 Montaldo will take part in the three evenings of Barbaresco a Tavola on Friday 10, 17 and 24 May, introducing each evening with the tale of the new vintage 2021.
