THE CRU' TOURS AND THE WALKS ARE BACK
AMONG THE HISTORICAL VINEYARDS OF BARBARESCO DOCG
During some of the tasting days of I Weekend di Piacere Barbaresco, the Enoteca Regionale del Barbaresco, in collaboration with the Wine Laboratory, offers excursions through the Barbaresco hills.
You will have the opportunity to get to know the roots of Barbaresco DOCG up close, the vineyards that have made its history and the agricultural production that has always characterized these hills.
The Cru Tours are back with the special formula of WALKING EXCURSIONS. A unique experience that will immerse you in the historic vineyards and agricultural production of the Barbaresco DOCG area. As always, the journalist and wine expert Giancarlo Montaldo and the journalist Teresa Baccini will guide you in discovering the Geographical Mentions of Barbaresco.
Here is the excursion program (being updated):
Saturday 23 September: Eastern side of BARBARESCO (5.5 km)
Saturday 30 September: North Face of TREISO (6 km)
Saturday 7 October : Western side of BARBARESCO (5.5 km)
Saturday 14 October : NEIVE, from San Giuliano to Bordini and back (4.3 km)
Saturday 21 October : TREISO, Tour of the Rocche dei Sette Fratelli (5.2 km)
Saturday 28 October : BARBARESCO, from the West Slope to the East Slope (4.5 km)
Saturday 11 November : BARBARESCO, West Side (7 km)
Saturday 18 November : TREISO, SAN ROCCO SENO D'ELVIO, TREISO (10 km)​
Participation in the tours is free. Reservation required.
Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended.

SATURDAY 23 SEPTEMBER | EAST SIDE OF BARBARESCO (5.5 KM)
Eastern side of Barbaresco (5.5 km route, duration approximately 2 hours)

3.00 pm – Departure from Barbaresco – Piazza del Municipio (staircase in front of the Barbaresco Regional Enoteca).
Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Ovello – Montestefano – Montefico – Vicenziana – Ovello, observations on the vineyards on the western side of Neive.
5.00 pm – Return to Barbaresco, in front of the Barbaresco Regional Enoteca

SATURDAY OCTOBER 7 | WEST SIDE OF BARBARESCO (5.5 KM)
West Slope of Barbaresco – Central section with a view also on parts of the East Slope

SATURDAY 21 OCTOBER | TREISO, FORTRESSES TOUR
OF THE SEVEN BROTHERS

Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Piazza Baracco – Bernadot – Giacone – Cascina Alberta – Rocche Massalupo – Rocche dei Sette Fratelli – Montersino – Canta – Sant'Alessandro – Bongioan – Treiso Piazza Baracco, naturally with a view also on other MeGAs in Treiso and San Rocco Seno d'Elvio.
5.30 pm – Return to Piazza Baracco in front of the Parish Church of Treiso.

BARBARESCO, WEST SIDE
Barbaresco – West Side
(7 km route, duration 2.5 hours)
2.30 pm – Departure from Barbaresco Town Hall Square. Meeting point: staircase in front of the Barbaresco Regional Enoteca.
Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Barbaresco – Pajè – Rabajà Bas – Cars – Asili – Phaset – Martinenga – Stazione – Rio Sordo – Tre Stelle – Trifolera – Rabajà – Moncagòta – Cole – Montestefano – Ovello – Pian de la Ca Nova – Barbaresco.
5.00 pm – Return to Piazza del Municipio, in front of the Barbaresco Enoteca
SATURDAY 30 SEPTEMBER | NORTH SIDE OF TREISO
(6 KM)
Ridge of the northern side of Treiso (route of approximately 6 km, duration 2.5 hours)

Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Rizzi, Garassino, Manzola, Rombone, Valeirano, Ausario, Bricco and view of the parallel ridges and the vineyards of San Rocco Seno d'Elvio.

5.30 pm – Return to Treiso, in Piazza Baracco, in front of the parish church of Treiso

SATURDAY 14 OCTOBER | NEIVE, FROM SAN GIULIANO TO THE BORDINI AND BACK (4.3 KM)
Neive, from San Giuliano to Bordini and back to San Giuliano

Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: San Giuliano – Gallina – Albesani – Balluri – Bordini – Starderi – Serragrilli – Neive Alto – San Giuliano, naturally also with a view of other MeGAs of Neive.
5.30 pm – Return to the square in front of the Neive Cemetery (San Giuliano area).

SATURDAY 28 OCTOBER | BARBARESCO, FROM THE WEST SIDE TO THE EAST SIDE
Barbaresco – From the West Slope to the East Slope
(4.5 km route, duration 2 hours)
2.30 pm – Departure from Barbaresco Town Hall Square. Meeting point: staircase in front of the Barbaresco Regional Enoteca.
Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Barbaresco – Pajè – Rabajà Bas – Cars – Asili – Moncagòta – Bricco del Rabajà – Rabajà – Descent towards Ronchi and ascent – Cole – Montestefano – Ovello
4.30 pm - At the La Ca' Nova farm in Barbaresco, demonstration of making baskets, baskets, "tualete" with the processing of wicker, chestnut sheets and other materials by Ilario Colonna of the Trattoria Risorgimento in Treiso, a time professional basket maker
5.00 pm – Toast to the harvest just concluded
5.30 pm – Return to Piazza del Municipio, Barbaresco
SATURDAY 18 NOVEMBER | FROM TREISO TO SAN ROCCO
AND RETURN
From Treiso to San Rocco Seno d'Elvio and back to Treiso
(10 km route, duration 8 hours)
10.00 am – Departure from Piazza Baracco in front of the Parish Church of Treiso
Walk to discover the historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Piazza Baracco – Giacone – Canta – Montersino – Rocche dei Sette Fratelli – Meruzzano – San Rocco Seno d'Elvio
12.30 pm – Lunch stop at Adriano Marco and Vittorio's, with a visit to the cellar and tasting of the wines and typical SHORT CHAIN products of the company (Tonda Gentile Trilobata hazelnut, cugnà and Chinato wine).
Each participant will have to organize their own packed lunch
2.30 pm – Departure from San Rocco Seno d'Elvio.
Walk to discover the other historic vineyards and complementary agricultural productions with this route: Rocche Massalupo – Garassino – Rizzi – Bricco – Nervo – Giacone – Bernardot and return to Treiso in Piazza Baracco.
4.45pm – Return to Piazza Baracco in front of the Parish Church of Treiso
